From the Pastor’s Study
From the pastor’s desk…
It is a windy day today, August 24th, as I write this note. Last night it was in the mid-60’s. Today it never got to 75 degrees. A tree near the church is already lit- tering the sidewalk with yellow-gold leaves. While we will surely have hot days yet to come, Fall is in the air. And a “new year” begins…
Worship returns to the sanctuary on September 5th at 11:00 a.m. Sunday School for all ages starts the following week, September 12th at 10:00 a.m.
September 19th is Homecoming Sunday. We have a potluck immediately fol- lowing worship, followed by a return concert with Faithful Folk, an inspiring folk-gospel group from Woodstock, New York.
Sunday School, Adult Bible study on Sunday morning, and Wednesday evening Bible study all have some exciting new programs beginning in September. Look for details about all these events here.
As regular readers are aware, this is the first Link to come out since April. I have had a run of health issues that has significantly restricted my ability to work at full capacity. The last few weeks have seen me almost back to normal; I hope, and definitely pray, that this is a long-term trend.
So, let us continue our journey. As cooler breezes return, may the breath of the Spirit surround us, inspire us, lift us ever more fully into the life of Christ.
