St.John-St.Matthew-Emanuel Lutheran Church Park Slope

St. John - St. Matthew-Emanuel Lutheran Church is a diverse, inclusive expression of three worshipping communities - St. Matthew (1859), St. John's (1866) and Emanuel (1884) - who have joined to serve the Park Slope/South Slope neighborhood with God's Word and Sacrament. As a Reconciling-in-Christ congregation, we affirm gay and lesbian persons, and welcome all to full participation in the life of this church, just as Christ has welcomed us.

To meet the needs of this area's senior citizens we founded the Prospect Hill Senior Citizens Center in 1974. We are numbered in the 230 churches in the Metropolitan New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), which nationally gathers over 10,000 member congregations.
